Micromax plans to launch 20 new phones. It said that it would invest Rs.500 crores. In a teaser on Twitter, Micromax asked viewers if they were ready to join in the revolution. The launch is expected by September end. Micromax is bringing a new era of smartphones in India.
#2 BSNL
Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) has expanded its broadband platform. Three new broadband plans which are affordable for the customers.
- BSNL gives unlimited voice calls along with speed data at Rs. 690.
- 400GB of speed data access.
- 500Mbps broadband access at as low as Rs. 490.
#3 GOOGLE
- Google meet may replace Duo in about two years. The decision to merge the two services was by G Suite head Javier Soltero.
- Google has not produced any data since the sweeping law took force in June and said it would not directly respond to such requests.
- Australia announced last month that firms like Google and Facebook would have to pay news media for content.
- Google will now help users travel better in the post COVID world. It provides more travel-related information to users.
#4 WHATSAPP
WhatsApp version 2.20.198.5 beta for Android removes search feature. It provides distinct tabs to let users easily find a relevant sticker. A button is enabled for sticker search.
#5 TELEGRAM
Telegram comes out with a new feature. It enables video calling for all Android and ios users. Only one-on-one video calls are available as of now. Group video calls can be rolled out soon. This video calling feature is highly encrypted.
#6 JIO
Jio is reported to offer free IPL 2020 streaming to Rs. 401 and Rs. 2,599 prepaid plan subscribers. The user who gets recharged with Rs.2,599 will get 740GB, 365 days validity. All Jio fiber plans priced at RS. 849 and above to get the benefit.
